Louis XV Salt Shaker in Rare Colors

Rare colors of the Louis XV shaker have just been found by a member. This pattern is normally seen in custard glass decorated with gold and Emerald Green decorated with gold. Heacock reported a berry bowl in custard with a blue stain, and also showed a toothpick holder with brown stain. Bredehoft & Sanford note a toothpick holder known in green stain. To our knowledge, Salt Shakers have never been pictured in custard with these stains (above, green; below, blue, brown, and the familiar custard with gold). It should be noted that it is clear why these shakers are rare. They might have been a bit more attractive when made but likely did not appeal to many.
