The 2022 convention was held on September 8th – 11th at the Clarion Hotel in Lexington, KY. Like last year, this was a joint convention with the National Toothpick Holder Collectors’ Society (NTHCS). The auction, the displays and sales, and the Saturday night banquet included members of both clubs. The National Milk Glass Collectors Society (NMGCS) held a simultaneous (side-by-side) convention at the hotel which allowed AGSSSC members to attend the NMGCS auction and sales, and for NMGCS members to attend our auction and show (displays) and sales. The convention started with an optional outing on Thursday morning to visit the nearby Kentucky Horse Park, Kentucky’s largest state-owned tourist attraction. The AGSSSC Board meeting was held Thursday evening. Friday included the NTHCS ID Clinic, conducted by Tom Jiamachello and assisted by Richard and Lynn Ryan. Tom Jiamachello also presented an educational seminar, Milk Glass Painting by Women at Consolidated. There was a joint buffet dinner with all three clubs on Friday night followed by the joint AGSSSC/NTHCS auction. Saturday began with an informal meeting of the AGSSSC and the NTHCS to discuss possibilities for the 2023 convention. The NMGCS Sale on Saturday morning included numerous shakers of interest to our club members. The AGSSSC/NTHCS Show (displays) and Sales were on Saturday afternoon followed by the banquet and announcement of winners of the displays and the toothpicks raffled by the NTHCS.
