FAQ’s and How To’s
Just a few things that will help you navigate our site:
1) The site has been designed to accommodate all devices, that is, desktop computers, tablets and cell phones, both Android and iPhones. Since the size of the screen is different on all these devices, it may be necessary for you to scroll down to see some of the information.
3) The ID Project is a feature that has been designed to be completely searchable. You can scroll through the pictures or if you’d like to search for something specific, say, a manufacturer, simply type the manufacturer name in the search bar and press the search button.
Want to search for something else? At the top and bottom of the ID Project page is a blue, ‘reset list view’ link. This will reset the list back to the beginning of the more than 1,400 shakers in the index.
Data columns are provided for specific search criteria to help you find your shaker. For example, click on ‘name’ menu at the top of the gallery and the shakers will display in alphabetical order. Want to see what shakers are made in different colors? Click on the ‘color’ menu at the top of the gallery. All known colors will display in alphabetical order.
This website will be constantly in the state of change so please check back from time to time to see what has changed. More and more shakers will be added as they are submitted, and information is approved. We have created a separate database for sugar shakers and condiment sets.
We’re always looking for ways to make things better so please send your feedback to:
