Description:

A squat Barrel shaped shaker with a ring foot with intaglio rayed base and a ringed neck. Often found with a Alden lid with the patent date Dec. 25 1877.

This set exhibits the extremely rare oil bottle. (taller top).
Although usually attributed to Boston and Sandwich Company, various glass factories made this shaker, as Boston and Sandwich could not fulfill the sheer volume of Alden orders. These will be found with different numbers of rays in the foot. An original boxed set of these shakers can be seen at Jeffery Evans completed auctions.
